Temporary payroll service

There are times when even the most reliable payroll administrator needs time off, and in most cases this is just part of normal holiday entitlement. However, in times of prolonged illness or maternity leave, this can cause problems for employers. Your main options have been to do the payroll yourself, train someone else in the company to be able to do it, or hire someone on a temporary basis to do the payroll.

When your payroll administrator leaves

There is also the possibility that your payroll administrator may leave, and there could be an interim period where you are without someone to do the payroll. This is where APS can help.

Our temporary payroll services is geared to providing a very fast set-up and as such we can provide everything you need in order to transfer the processing of your payroll to us. Our service is even better if you use Sage software, as we can take your previous pay period's back up, confirm pay elements and rates etc with you and process the payroll.

The service and prices are the same as our bureau service, with an additional 25p per employee per pay run. You may decide that having us process your payroll is something you want to maintain, in which case, let us know, and the additional 25p will be deducted.

 

Quotations

If you need a quote, please make sure you have as much information about your payroll as possible, as time will probably be of the essence. The more information we get from you, the less time it will take to set up your payroll.

Our service for GP Practices & Direction Bodies is provided by a specialist arm of APS Global. The complexities of NHS pension payrolls are not appreciated, or even known by many payroll providers.  Our payroll service ensures that you are fully compliant with NHS Pension regulations

Passing on savings to you

APS has managed to automate enough of the processes needed to be able to pass on great savings to you. Our service is the same as our payroll bureau service but with an additional fee added per person to cover the pension administration. You can add on features such as printed/posted payslips, dealing with HMRC, extra reports etc, so that the service you receive is completely customised to your needs. And if there is an option you require which isn't on the website, ask and we'll let you know whether we can provide it. (And with our honesty policy we will let you know straight away)

Complex NHS finance

With the rest of NHS finance becoming more complex, why not outsource your payroll to relieve some of the tension? If you already outsource your payroll with another payroll services provider, we will probably be able to save you money. One of our clients (with 60 employees) switched from a well-known payroll provider and saved £45.00 per month - that's £540.00 per year.

NHS Pensions Administration

Our NHS Pension administration service includes submitting starters, leavers and changes to personal details to the NHSPA, as well as submitting your SD55 annual returns. If you set us up as a user on Pensions Online, we can administer all of the pension scheme, including submitting the monthly GP1 reports, processing requests for pension benefit estimates, AW8s and RF12s.  We will also investigate all SM8 queries and ensure everything is kept up to date. With the NHS Pension Scheme changing, there will be much more information that you will need to record and report on. Outsourcing your payroll has never been more attractive!

What's included

Our fees include all data entry, production of payslips, management reports, and P45/P46's, as needed. In addition, we also include the handling of your enquiries in respect of the HMRC, DSS, auditors or employees. It also includes all administration, payslips, postage and delivery fees.

 

Our Fees

We have a minimum charge that will apply where there are fewer than 10 employees.

We also have a minimum annual contract fee based on 10 employees or less, then an additional fee for each additional employee.

 

Weekly Paid Employees

A discount of 10% applies to the 'per payrun' figure for weekly employees.

 

Set-up Fees

For each new payroll, a set-up fee is applicable based on the number of employees included on a single payroll.

 

Starters and Leavers

During the course of the year, there is no charge for starters and leavers up to 10% of employee numbers. Above this figure, the fee for each new starter and each leaver will be levied.

Year End Processing and Reports

Our Year End Fee includes the production of P35's and P60's and is submitted by Internet.

What's included

Payroll Set-up (loading your current information into our software) Providing spreadsheets for inputting information Calculating the payroll, including basic hours, overtime, pension contributions, Tax, NI, SSP, SMP, SPP and any other payments. Producing various reports (the basics being a BACS list, Payslips, Tax breakdown per employee, NI breakdown per employee, Statutory payments breakdown (SSP, SMP etc – if needed), Pension report, Tax Credit report (if needed), HMRC payment breakdown (Monthly basis), and Employer Costs breakdown which will all be emailed to your nominated contact.

Our Fees

We charge a basic fee per employee per pay run, regardless of how many employees you pay. There is no minimum charge for our payroll bureau service.

There is also no contract fee for our payroll bureau service.

 

Set-up Fees

For each new payroll, a set-up fee is applicable based on the number of employees included on a single payroll.

 

Year End Processing and Reports

Our Year End Fee includes the production of P60's and is again based on a fee per employee (this includes posting P60s to your employees). We will also submit your Tax Year End return by Internet.

Chargeable Extras

Some additional services can be added to the above to really customise your service.

UK Payroll Services

We currently offer both Payroll Bureau and and Fully Managed payroll solutions. These differ in the following ways:

Payroll Bureau

Our Payroll Bureau Service is where you provide all the details of the payroll, and we just calculate it for you. We provide all the reports necessary for the post-payroll function, and email you the payslips for you to distribute. You deal with the HMRC and staff queries. This situation is perfect if you have a member of staff that can input all the data, but cannot calculate wages themselves. Additional services can be added if required.

 

Specialist services for NHS

As well as this, we also offer specialist payroll services for GP practices and Dentist Surgeries. We have staff experienced in NHS Pension payroll processing, including submitting SS10s, SD55s etc. This admin is all included in the payroll price. We will even enter your monthly GP1 figures into Pensions Online for you. Please call for more details.

Managed Payroll

Our Fully Managed Payroll Service is exactly that, we manage everything from HMRC queries to queries from your staff, calculation of the pay and distribution of the payslips. It's like having an in-house payroll clerk, just serviced from our offices instead.

 

Temporary Payroll Services

We also offer temporary payroll services to cover long term sickness, Maternity Leave, or any period of time where you are without your payroll clerk.


Irish payroll service

Our Irish payroll service is offered to both employers in the UK with an Irish workforce, and to Employers in the Republic of Ireland looking to outsource their payroll. Please note we can accept either GBP or Euros as payment for these services.
