Argentina raises minimum wage by 25% and backdates it to the 1st August 2011.

The Minimu Wage Council agreed to increase the minimum wage by 25% from 1840 pesos to 2300 pesos per month.  This will be backdated to 1st August 2011 without any scaled implementation. The increase is in response to high inflation.  The minimum wage is already one of the highest in South America.
